Monday Night Support Group Community-Wide Homework

MC Forums Group
For those of you who attended this past Monday night's chat support group, we had a great time discussing what villian we imagined our Ed to be! We heard everything from 'Darth Vader' to 'Cruella deVille'.

We also agreed to offer accountability to each other to take small steps forward, and encourage each other when we need a lift and a hug (even if it's a virtual one!)

Even if you weren't able to make it to the group, you are warmly invited to join in the discussion by visiting the Monday Night Support Group HERE

MC Ana GroupWe all have dreams...and for all of us who struggle, our eating disorder stands between us and the fulfillment of those dreams.

Your 'key to life' is that thing, or things, that you want MORE than you fear the consequences of not giving in to your eating disorder's demands.

What are YOU recovering for?

September 16: "Friends Don't Let Friends Talk Fat"

FTFW Teleconference
The premise of "Fat Talk Free Week" national event each October is to work together to prevent the negative body perceptions and attitudes that contribute to deadly eating disorders. In this teleconference you will be introduced to "body activism". You will learn how to control the thoughts you think and the words you speak and in this way activate your own personal power to affect positive change and literally prevent eating disorders!  Each teleconference attendee will also receive a personal invitation to participate in this year's Fat Talk Free Week which takes place October 13-17, 2009.

To RSVP, send an email to mc@key-to-life.com

Thom's Nutshell Wisdom

You are not just a little short of perfection;
you are radically imperfect.*

We are human beings, nowhere near perfection. Radical imperfection is in our nature - unless you consider being perfectly imperfect a state of perfection. (Don't think about that one too long, you could hurt yourself.) Perfection is not something you are supposed to achieve, now or any time in your life. The irony is this: only when we take the risk to let go of perfection as a goal, will we really discover what great things we are capable of. (Ending sentences in prepositions is imperfect writing. So what?)
