Goodbye….and Hello!

MentorCONNECT first opened our doors in February of 2009.

Right from the start, we were a “hit” with recovering folks who were seeking mentors.

Very soon, our corps of volunteer mentors also began to grow, and before long we were facilitating new mentoring matches on a daily basis.

Fast forward 8 years. It is now 2017, and the “little nonprofit that could” – did!

Over our lifetime we served several thousand members in 43 countries. Many had no other significant source of recovery support other than MentorCONNECT when they first discovered us online.

Together, we built connections that proved over and over again that “relationships replace eating disorders.”

We are so proud of each director, leader, volunteer and member who has been a part of our community in any way….especially because, astonishingly, we maintained an all-volunteer board, staff and volunteer corps from start to finish!

And we are so grateful to every sponsor, donor and supporter from the greater community who helped us fulfill our mission and vision in so many wonderful ways.

Our decision this year to close our doors was not easy, but we hope the legacy we leave in our wake will continue to grow and transform in ways we can’t even begin to foresee right now.

With great love, gratitude and respect,

Shannon Cutts

MentorCONNECT founder
